The Church in the Valley Shetland

Making the Light of Christ Shine in the Darkness

We are Christian friends who meet on the first Sunday
of every month in the Trondra Hall, in Trondra, Shetland.

We gather under no denominational banner but we are simply Christians from many denominations, (or none), who gather together in friendship
to praise and worship our wonderful Heavenly Father.

We want all who attend to experience the love of Christ seen and felt through Christian love and Friendship regardless of their faith or belief.

The music is provided by local musicians playing a variety of instruments which adds a typically Shetland touch to the evening.

Our pre-service music session is always held in the Edward Thomason care home in Lerwick. It was originally to keep Winnie (Janet's mum) part of this fellowship which meant so much to her, (she's now gone home and is dancing and singing in Heaven). It's now an evening the other residents look forward to.

The worship is a homely mix of humour and praise with a guest spot every month where we welcome Christian singers and muscians.

After paying our bills,  all of our offerings are donated every six months
to a local charity and we begin once again with a zero balance in the bank.

Our fellowship is now twinned with the Potters House Fellowship in Portadown, Northern Ireland.

In addition we support a young girl in Mayanmar through World Vision

After our Monthly Service there is an opportunity to share in Fellowship

over 'Homebakes' and Tea or Coffee.
